id suggest a system like [df]s.


we dont ask peopel to join.. they have to request it from us.

at that point we tell them that they are being considered and that in the mean time they are required to get Xfire and add all the [df] contacts, as well as having to post on the forums.

further they are informed that it would be in theyre best interested to get to know the other [df] members through Xfire. play games with us as much as u can, and dont wear any other clan tag while attempting to get into [df].

after the initial request post. joining [df] can take 3 weeks to a month or more to actualy get in.

after a reasonable amount of time getting to know the person and having them around the group, a leader will revive the original join request post made by the player in question and ask if anyone has any objections to this person joining [df], and then if the other 2 leaders, (Odis and Perrin) agree as well , i reply in that topic to talk to msg me on xfire, where the rules are explained, what we expect from them and then if they pass all that, we tell them to tag up.




This system works very efficienty at weeding out the temp players who will just disapear MIA, but it also allows us to gain loyal players. these alias changing clan hopping players are far too impatient to wait up to a month or more to get into a clan.


the end result is a member who very much wants to be in [df] and plans to stay there for a long long time.



ive found that recruiting a player based only on skill never works.. cause many of the good players are undesirables to [df] due to clan hopping history, alias changing or notoriously long peroids of MIA. Or players that do what impulse just said yesterday.. "tribes suck i quit" then theyre in another clan a month later when they do come back. or they just use a different alias.. Its not worth it to us to waste our time on players who arent planning on being dedicated and loyal to [df]

yeah, i was gonna say that closing recruitment completely was dumb... but knew that the people who posted the idea needed to be coddled first.
