Re: Cryptic A clone is when 2 different players connect from the same IP address (same location). Annihilation mod only counts one vote per IP address to prevent one person from connecting multiple clones for the purpose of passing bogus votes.
A smurf is when one player has multiple names (usually at different times). I am unsure why many players choose to use so many different names, but the Annihilation mod keeps track of them so their anonymity is forfeit.
An imposter is when one player intentionally steals another player's name, and does bad things to make people dislike the original player (or clan). Usually admins can tell the difference between imposters and originals based upon their IP address and xfire status.
