Re: White Whisp Player Skins thats cause tribes textures players and objects in openGL not like the skin but shader effects even tho it doesn't have dynamic lighting it does use primitive shader methods... u wouldn't see the same effect in software mode u would just see the flat sides of the dts player shape slightly darker than other parts. whats even funnier is how if those skins were red and blue they would be a cheat...

Re: White Whisp Player Skins  alot of the cheaters in base use this skin to see the enemy better much like hm1 for base. if you had red and blue ones you could easily distinguish the enemy from friend even if they were in chameleon or something. it was also a cheat in paintball mod

Re: White Whisp Player Skins I think he means a red and blue skin would be overly visible, and therefore a cheat. This is the same reason I took the time to replace the red Searat disc skin with the original blue. The white wisp skins were actually given their own texture. As you can see, they aren't solid white, but gradients of gray. This is by design, and not produced by the Tribes lighting engine.
