Re: Section 8 Haven't checked out this new Section 8, but I played the first Section 8, which was hyped up to be similar to Tribes, and I thought it sucked ass. But, if they can improve on the first one in this new one, then it could have potential

Re: Section 8 well, some weapons acted regularly against shielding, and others would go straight for your armor/ACTUAL health. So you end up going wtf is the shield even for? you would check your stats real quick and see you have full shields, then you would get like 3 shots from a pistol and die. well, maybe it wasn't the pistol, but you get the idea... some weapons would pretty much do exclusive damage to the shield, and take a while to take down health. So it essentially made the point of a shield useless because you could go straight for someone's armor with a different weapon and kill them in 1/3 of the time. did any of that make sense? lol.
bear in mind that I played it a while ago, and don't take me verbatim, but that concept is pretty much right I think.

Re: Section 8 I was stopping some guy earlier today on that very small ctf spawn map, it was fun. he was just bouncing off the boundaries, and I decided he had had enough fun. so i boosted up and blocked him, made him drop like a brick. lol
