Re: The zombie Apocalypse
ROFL^
Edit: things I would like during zombie invasion.
Inventory list.
1. A Winchester octagon barrel shotty or a double barrel shotty, preferably the more mobile double. back strap mounted.
2. two silenced glock 19's extended magazine tracert/he rounds rib mounted like a detective. you know the hostlers ;D
3. m16aa carbine with a pistol grip and bayonet (if applicable)
4. if not the m16aa then a m14a1 w/ pistol grip w/ bayonet one or the other back strap mounted.
a pair of these
and this on my waist
two of these, praying I wont ever have to use them.
a box of shells. two magazines for the m16aa or m14a1. 8 magazines for the glocks.
the ammo itself should last me a day to three depending on where I might want to go, probably a cabin in the mountains along the appalachian trail hike it by foot. move between dusk and dawn sleep during the day. Reason for this, I'd rather expect to be caught of guard than to be caught off guard while sleeping. Never in a tent, always a cabin or fortified structure. Never block yourself in, only pussies do that and they usually end up getting eaten. If there is nowhere to stay, then a nice tall pine will suffice. zombies do not have the coordination to climb tall trees. avoid the city at all costs. even if ammunition is needed. Always best to never use the guns unless you really need to. The katana is always better/quicker/cleaner/quieter. machetes are too blunt and will only bludgeon your target especially if they put their arms up in the way. katanas will take the head clean off. no problem
I wouldn't go as far to say that the thermal sights would be useless, it would help looking for survivors easier, impractical for seeking out zombies in the depth of fog since they're dead, I highly doubt they would give a heat signature.
be choosy on survivors, if they are fat, wounded, retarded, don't know how to fire a weapon/ use a weapon, unstable trauma ect... Pretty much unable to hold their own. then they do not need to go with you and do not deserve to breed for the new world. It would be lowly to bring them into the group as scapegoats "hey check that out there go see what it is"
[a few rules to live by if there is a zombies apocalypse]
females are high priority (depending on age and health)
ammunition is also a priority ( usually the stronger of the group will be forced to carry the heavier things like a box of ammo ect.)
food shouldn't be too hard to find. scavenging would be highly discouraged unless you're in the city and it is absolutely necessary. Developing a habit of scavenging could lead to a break down of basic instinct where the survivor would forget their ancestry and forget how to hunt. Something thats going to be VERY useful after things cool down and there aren't that many people left.
keep your life story to yourself, I'm not going to mourn your death becuase you wanted to be an idiot. we will get to know each other when things allow us to. but for now we worry about where we're going and how we're getting there. keep it formal in other words.
when facing hordes. lure them into smaller areas you are familiar with to "funnel" them into lines. Use an assault rifle or automatic weapon and aim for their heads. proceed to destination
be sure to keep your boots and gear clean at all times possible. when ever you have a free moment not doing duties. you should be checking your gear. after all that is done you should be posted and alert.
never leave camp alone, always stay 5 steps between each other wear like colors If I'm wearing plaid then you do too ect...
stay calm, if someone in the group panics, slap them if necessary.
drugs/booze/ unless stimulants are to be stayed away from.
If you're gonna do a line of some yay, go for it. might just help you stay awake and be more aware.
if you find a doobie throw it away, it wont help you at all in this circumstance.
if you wasted time ransacking the liquor store instead of the gun shop or food store next to it. then I'm taking your fucking booze and using it for Molotov cocktails.
No mating until outbreak goes away. (unprotected of course)
also important rule
for the sake of those around you, avoid close range gun kills. We do not know how contagious the virus is, and close range fire will only increase the risk of infection.
think that pretty much covers everything. Oh yeah No Taiwanese made weapons, we don't need you accidentally offing yourself.
