Krog has a tutorial on theexiled.pwnageservers. I used it and had limited success. It involves getting a virtual PC to use an old version of 3DS.... I couldn''t get the proportions correct however and the models I did crashed Tribes. So in the end I just used the ones he made and skinned them for the teams.

Anyone know if it's possible to extract the base models as well? I've messed with Umodel before and only remember seeing the player and weapon models.

Not that I'm aware of. The program primarily rips objects with bones in them.
