 Do I need 1.40? all my shit (video, graphics, etc) is pretty much the original tribes. I have a lot of the common scripts (dropper, etc), but that's it. Does 1.40 (or anything else I haven't upgraded) improve performance?

Re: Do I need 1.40? 1.4 sure looks a LOT sexier... a LOT. it does allow for better openGL performance i think it was, but other than that, it takes up a bit more resources, but its freakin worth it.

Re: Do I need 1.40? It really depends on what kind of system you run. If your on some old school pc, and currently use software mode, then I would stick with that.
Although, if you have a good pc. and you're looking to change things up a bit, then I would get 1.40 with HQ skin pack. I also have a custom 1.40 prescripted by me.
It won't hurt to give it a try though. You don't need to delete or backup your old tribes, as this is a standalone game, and not a patch.

Re: Do I need 1.40? well. I say, at least run last hope patch, then you cant get into trouble with people claiming you use hm. and if you register in br, then you'll have proof.

Re: Do I need 1.40? Well that system is really just to save your name, so no one can smurf it. It also saves total kills/deaths + prefs, which is a good thing if you have a changing ip.

Re: Do I need 1.40? Well, make sure you are replacing email with your email and password with your password. Also, make sure to use a "throw away" pass, as the system doesnt encrypt passwords.

If you want something new to learn and mess with get Legendz1.40

Re: Do I need 1.40? Either one has different keybinds, but with the stock one, all keybinds can be reset in options. I would recommend 1.40 Legendz, and relearn my keybinds, as they are pro.
