Fraps help
I've got demos from the <!> scrim, but am too stupid to get fraps to convert them smoothly. It's like watching a game with an 800 ping. The only settings I'm aware of are (1) Video capture settings - do I use 60 fps, 50, 30, or enter an fps rate manually? There's also a choice of full-size of half-size. Any difference in quality? (1) Loop buffer length. The default is 30 seconds. Do I change it? Oh, and you have the option to "uncheck" these settings: "Lock framerate while recording" & "force lossless RGB capture (may be slower)". Don't know if either of these matter.
Any tips on fraps?
Note: Please try to remember how fucking stupid I am as you craft your instructions. Picture an 80 year old man stooped over a broken 8mm film projector trying trying to watch porn on the wall of his cellar.

Re: Fraps help
uh.... that is not a pretty picture. O.O force it to the highest fps, and let it run. doesn't matter how crappy and slow it looks at the time, fraps is recording faster than that. take the vids from fraps, and load them into windows movie maker, and convert them that way. That is the way I do it. it ends up looking better after the whole process is done.

Re: Fraps help
thanks guys, I'm going to try again tonight. Might just be that my cpu is too crappy.
shadow - are you saying that your finished versions (post-movie-maker) are smoother than what you see when you just play the frap output files on a media player?

uh, I am saying that it looks better in the file than it does on the screen at the time, I don't know if it is smoother after movie maker or not, I haven't made some in a while. sorry. :X
