Re: hmmmm How come you don't have that shit on automatic? All my bills (except rent) get paid automatically.
I get text message reminders that the bills are about to draw money from my account, and then use my phone to check the balance and ensure that I have enough money to cover the bills. If not, I transfer money around before the deadline. And I can do all of that from my smart phone.
I tried to set up automatic payments for rent too, because my landlord is a school teacher, who never has time to go to the bank and cash my checks, so they just accumulate until he takes a personal day or something... Then he tries to cash a bunch at the same time. Unfortunately, the bank's idea of auto-bill paying is to automatically print a check and mail it to my house, because my landlord is my twin brother and roommate. Really unhelpful.
